Acknowledging and responding to the expanding impulse of creating, circulating and owning photobooks, as well as to its potential as a democratic medium, The International Association of Photography and Theory and Koraï Project Space are pleased to announce a special themed photobook exhibition titled IAPT PHOTOBOOK: 2018.

IAPT Photobook: 2018 is opening in conjunction with the 5th International Conference of Photography and Theory (ICPT2018) and will host local and international artists with books related to ICPT2018’s theme of Photographies and Conflict:  Archiving and Consuming Images of Strife. The selected books deal with the theme of conflict, and more specifically, with archiving conflict, consuming conflict, and conflict as a cultural product. We note that the term conflict is interpreted as going beyond war and politics to include other issues such as social and cultural struggles and controversies. The books were selected after an international open call for photobooks.
