Transport

You can fly into either Larnaca (the closest airport) or Paphos International Airports. For transport to and from either of the airports, or for getting around the city, we recommend one of the following options.

KAPNOS BUS SHUTTLE

Kapnos Airport Shuttle runs regular services from both airports to Nicosia (Kapnos Shuttle Station, Kyrenias Avenue). The journey from Larnaka Airport to Nicosia takes around 40 minutes and costs €9 (one-way). From Pafos Airport to Nicosia, the journey typically takes around 90–115 minutes (depending on traffic) and costs about €18 (one-way).

If your hotel is in the city centre of Nicosia (e.g., Classic Hotel, Centrum Hotel, Royiatiko Hotel), you may need to continue by local bus or taxi from the Kapnos station. For bus routes and timetables, please check the Cyprus Public Transport. Alternatively, taxis are available from Kapnos station, with city-centre trips typically costing around €8–€12 (depending on the exact drop-off point and time).

You can also take a private taxi on arrival at the airport. Fares vary depending on your exact destination and the time of day.

From Larnaka Airport, daytime rates typically range from €40–€60, while nighttime rates are usually €55–€65 (20:30–06:00).

From Pafos Airport, daytime rates typically range from €160–€170, while nighttime rates can range from €150–€270 (20:30–06:00). Some budget services may offer rates from €135.
